Even as late as Friday, Amy Poehler was preparing to perform on yesterday's Saturday Night Live when she finally had to give in and deliver her son, Archie, Saturday evening.

The show went on without her. But she'd been working tirelessly to the end of her pregnancy, much like another working mother we've come to know and laugh at thanks to Poehler's merciless lampooning.

In the last couple of weeks, Poehler has given some superb performances opposite Tina Fey, playing Hillary Clinton and Katie Couric, including one just a week ago on Weekend Update, where she rapped in place of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin.
